CHESTERFIELD: College staff take more strike action

Have your say

Chesterfield college lecturers and staff were once again on strike this week, over 70 feared job cuts.

Members of the NASUWT and UCU joined forces on Tuesday and said further action is on the cards if the college refused to revisit plans to make compulsory redundancies.

A petition signed by over 3,000 was also handed to college bosses. Principal Trevor Clay says job losses are necessary and will not affect the quality of students’ education.
