Chernobyl disaster children’s appeal

A CHARITY is appealing for host families in Derbyshire to help provide holiday accommodation for visiting youngsters still being affected by the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear power station disaster.

Chernobyl Children Life Line’s Pinxton and East Derbyshire branch is helping organise visits and placements for the Belarus youngsters at volunteers’ homes after the disaster marked its 25th anniversary this year.

The charity helps youngsters stay with families in Derbyshire while they enjoy day trips and medical visits.
