THE PIONEERING Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce has been named as the UK’s Chamber of the Year.

The UK’s third largest chamber was picked for its role as the driving force behind the Local Enterprise Partnership which helps local business.

The Chamber has also seen record levels of membership by improving its services and customer care plan. It has attracted small and large companies, earning the British Chambers of Commerce’s Excellence in Membership Services award.

John Longworth, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, said: “This Chamber stands out as a shining light to others. Its pioneering work on a national, regional and local level means its members get early access to the latest initiatives as well as extending its services to other Chambers.
