Celebrities to play in cricket match for the air ambulance

A fun day out for all the family is on the cards this Sunday at a celebrity cricket match in aid of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Organised by High Peak MP Andrew Bingham and sponsored by Buxton Natural Mineral Water, the match is between a team of celebrities and MPs, captained by Andrew, and a team of Emmerdale All-Stars.

The Emmerdale team is captained by Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe, and includes Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard; Tony Audenshaw, who plays Bob Hope; Chris Bisson, who plays Jai Sharma; Bhasker Patel, (Rishi Sharma) and former county cricketer Ashley Metcalfe.

The MPs and Celebrities team includes Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood; Glossop entrepreneur and star of The Apprentice, Adam Corbally; Nitin Ganatra, who plays Masood Ahmed in Eastenders, former children’s TV presenter Andy Crane, and former England and county cricketer Paul Nixon.

The match is at Buxton Cricket Ground, Park Road, at 2pm. Admission is £5 per person (under-16s free).
