These are the faces of two people wanted in connection with a street theft from an elderly man in Chesterfield town centre.

Police have released the CCTV stills obtained from a shop in town and would like to speak to the pair pictured in connection with the theft on Wednesday, November 18.

The 89-year-old victim was shopping in the town centre and had withdrawn some money from a cash machine just before it was stolen, said Derbyshire police.

Officers said: “At around 10am, an 89-year-old man withdrew some money from a bank in the town centre before going into the Wilkinson store on Vicar Lane.

“The man later noticed that his bag had been tampered and the cash inside had been stolen.”
