Care group step up to claim title

SUPER-FIT businesses and groups clocked up over a million points on pedometers as part of the Derbyshire Times’ and Derbyshire chamber of commerce’s Healthy Workplace competition.

And the aptly-named Enable Care and Home Support Group, of Heath Road, Holmewood, clinched the championship title as the most active organisation during the six-week campaign.

Derbyshire chamber spokesman Jon Smart said: “A big thank you goes to everyone who took part and did so brilliantly in helping to promote the importance of a healthy workplace.”

Scores were calculated on averages depending on staff numbers and trophy winners The Enable Group clocked up 252,052 pedometer points. They were followed in finishing order by Derbyshire Sport, Brighter Directions, Visit Peak District, Wilkins Hammond, Broomhill Luxury Dogs’ Home, Impact Apprenticeships, Fastsigns, Chesterfield College, Barclays Chesterfield, BRM Solicitors, The HR Department and Redlands IS.
