Members of a cardiac support group have been filmed for a university documentary.
The Dicky Tickers, which is based in Clay Cross, features in the film shot by Nicola Harris, a third-year media production student at the University of Lincoln.
Nicola’s father suffered a heart attack at the age of 47 and is a member of the Dicky Tickers, regularly attending the gym sessions at Sharley Park.
She said: “ I have a passion for film and photography and particularly wanted to make a documentary about the problems that heart attack victims and their families go through after a heart attack as we as a family experienced at first hand.
“I am hoping the documentary will raise the importance of cardiac rehabilitation and the effects a family go through at this crucial life-changing time”
A spokesman for Dicky Tickers said: “Nicola has interviewed and got the views of our members and made a film showing a typical cardiac rehabilitation class in progress under the supervision of a specialist cardiac trainer Mark Walsham one of three provided by North East Derbyshire District Council.
“We hope that it gets good exposure as all our members value the support that these classes provide.”
Dicky Tickers has 140 members and meets three times a week at Sharley Park Leisure Centre and covers all age groups. To find out more call 01246 590573.
