Car stolen from Chesterfield driveway

Thieves stole a car from the driveway of a house in Chesterfield after stealing the keys from inside.

It is believed the offenders reached in either through a window or a dog flap at the house, in Oak Tree Road, Clowne, and retrieved the car keys from a kitchen worktop.

They then took a silver Mercedes Benz A-Class, the registration of which started with YN64.

The offence took place between 6.30pm and about 10pm on Thursday, December 11.

Police investigating the theft want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around those times or the car being driven away.

Officers also want information on the whereabouts of the vehicle.
