Owner of the High Street salon Becky Candy, said despite the incident it was still business as usual.

She said: “It’s awful that people can treat other people’s property so poorly. It isn’t ideal having it happen at all, let alone on the night before our busiest day of the week – it has been extremely busy today. But it’s business as usual for us.

“Witnesses have said it was a silver Clio. Parts of the car and silver paint are still embedded into the salon wall, and the wheel trims were left behind as well as broken glass from the tail light.

“If anyone saw anything please get in touch.”

Derbyshire Police have been notified of the incident.
