Cannabis found at the home of teenager

POLICE sniffed out 21 bags of cannabis bush when they attended the home of a Chesterfield teenager.

Officers and bailiffs with a warrant called to see Daniel Monks who had unpaid court fines, town magistrates heard.

Police smelled cannabis inside the address and a search revealed seven bags in £20 deals and 14 bags in £10 deals.

Monks (19) of Brendon Court, Wenlock Crescent, Loundsley Green, admitted possessing cannabis on April 25.

He was recently ordered to do 80 hours unpaid work for damaging property and the bench added another 40 hours for the drugs offence, with £85 costs.

Julie Page, for Monks said: “His usage now is nothing like it was in April. It’s occasional use and he intends to stop using it.”
