A Buxton store has donated over £1,400 to a vital life-saving service.

Waitrose made the £1,457 donation from their Community Matters Scheme fund to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. The money will help pay for a full flying mission by the charity, which relies solely on donations and costs over £1.7 million just to keep flying and saving lives.

The donation was gratefully received by local air ambulance fundraiser Pete Corbett.
