Students have enjoyed some cross–channel fun on a visit to France.

Staff accompanied 36 pupils from Buxton Community School on a trip to Chateau Beaumont, Normandy.

During the visit they interviewed locals in a market and a goat farmer, visited Mont St Michel and St Malo, and took part in archery, fencing and a blindfolded obstacle course.

The brave young people also tried some traditional French cuisine, including snails and frogs’ legs.
