The inaugural exhibition of the Green Man Gallery, formerly of High Street, is the Buxton Spa Prize, a new art competition focusing on capturing the town’s natural beauty, heritage and culture.

The winner was named as Haidee Jo Summers, for her piece, ‘Walking Through Buttercups, Harpur Hill’, pictured with organisers Neil Scowcroft, Emma Potter and Suzanne Pearson.

While, Amealia Wharmby, ten, of Chapel-en-le-Frith, won the children’s prize for her work ‘Buxton Bottled’.

The exhibition runs until October 12.
