Education and tourism bosses have put their heads together in a bit to boost the number of visitors to the Peaks.

The University of Derby’s Buxton campus and Visit Peak District and Derbyshire have teamed up in a bid to drive up tourism to the area.

The university’s tourism degree programmes have now been endorsed by the tourism board, as has its three year LEADER project, Extending the Season, which aims to increase tourism through raising awareness of food and drink produced in the area.
