Derbyshire-based DART Training is celebrating after the first candidate to study for its new Level Four diploma in waste management, passed the course with flying colours.

Rodney Billinge, manufacturing services team leader at DSF Refractories and Minerals in Newhaven, near Buxton, has become the first person to complete DART Training’s Level Four Waste Management programme.

The waste management diploma is aimed at anyone working in an occupation where their work activity requires them to handle waste – including waste collection, weighbridge operatives, waste site operatives and anyone involved in recycling activities.

Aaron Pears, operations manager at Shardlow-based DART Training, said: “We are delighted that Rodney has been successful in completing the Level Four Diploma in Waste Management.”
