A TOP financial adviser has set up shop in a Peak District village with plans to recruit five new advisers and create a support hub for outlying farms and communities.

Platinum Finance boasts eight locations across the UK, including its new Tideswell branch, on High Street, which is being run solely by Robert Beaumont to service Derbyshire as well as South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Mr Beaumont said: “We took a strategic view with regards to where we located our office because our target market isn’t exclusively Sheffield.

“Being based in Tideswell means we’re far more conveniently located to serve our target market in all these areas with our financial services.

“Although I live in Sheffield our target market isn’t exclusively Sheffield, so it made little sense to focus on one city.”

Platinum Finance offers a range of independent financial, investment and mortgage advice and it is looking to expand its client base.

Mr Beaumont, who has 20 years of financial service experience, added: “Platinum Finance branches have won industry awards for the quality of their service and advice and we are looking at building on this success on a regional basis.”

The UK firm was set up in 2003 and now has a staff of 30 independent financial advisors and the Tideswell branch is looking to recruit in forthcoming months with plans to introduce an estate agency franchise and a will writing service.
