The launch of the entries website for the Derbyshire Times Business Awards - in association with Destination Chesterfield - is just around the corner.
And to celebrate we are launching an awards training session for businesses who want to give their bid a sharper edge.
The Derbyshire Times has teamed up with a Chesterfield- based awards entry specialist to offer a training session at the Casa Hotel on Thursday July 17 from 9am until 12.30. Derbyshire Times events manager Haroldine Lockwood said: “We thought this would be a great way to help business people who are pressed for time and want to put in a strong entry.
“Depending on uptake we may extend to two sessions. Our judges wil attend the day too and don’t forget that the winners in the awards are also automatically entered for the Chamber Awards and for our City Region Awards.”
The glittering Derbyshire Times awards evening will be held once again at the Proact Stadium where the 2014 winners will be revealed.
The session at the Casa will be hosted by Lucinda White of Pure Event management. She said: “Whatever your experience of entering awards, this workshop will give you a chance to learn new skills and achieve award success for yourself. On the day you will look at the benefits of entering business awards, how to ensure you are choosing the right category, what the judges are looking for, top tips for producing a creative and well written award entry and a practical opportunity to put the theory into practice.”
