HUNDREDS of votes have been cast in our quest to find the first Derbyshire Times’ Pub of the Year.

And there’s still time – just – to shout about your local and win a bottle of champagne before voting ends on Friday August 19 at 5pm.

Chesterfield taxi firm Central Cars is sponsoring our bid to recognise the wonderful inns, lodges and bars on our doorstep during tough times.

“We’re delighted to be involved”, said a firm spokesman.

“Pubs are great local businesses that we do a lot of work with to make sure customers don’t drink and drive after enjoying themselves.

“Here’s to the winner.”
