Designer store boasts festive success

LEADING European designer outlet McArthur Glen which boasts a South Normanton branch reports that shopper spending in November resulted in record trading days and a strong sales performance across its seven UK centres during the festive season.

The East Midlands outlet, at South Normanton, reported a sales and footfall increase of 15 per cent plus and 18 per cent plus respectively, from November 7 to December 31, compared to 2010 as shoppers sought designer and premium brands.

McArthur Glen said shoppers getting ready for Christmas in November led to good results and record breaking days on December 27 and 28.
