Chesterfield firm targets Brazil

Chesterfield TMAT which makes acoustic parts for tractors hopes to open a factory in Brazil.

A MULTI-NATIONAL manufacturer of acoustic components for tractors and excavators, whose customers include Case, New Holland Tractors, JCB, and Volvo, is putting plans in place to open a factory in Brazil.

With Brazil due to host both the 2014 football World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, Brazil aims to complete 12,265 projects by 2016.

Jason Lippitt, TMAT MD, said: “Customers have been excited. We’ve had a meeting with the DTI and hope to head out to Brazil for more meetings.”
