FOLLOWING the chancellor’s annual budget speech last week, Shorts Chartered Accountants of Chesterfield and NatWest joined forces once again to bring a free budget and economics seminar at Chesterfield FC’s Proact Stadium.
Despite plummeting temperatures and snowy conditions, local business owners braved the elements to come together and hear Chief Economist of EEF Lee Hopley give her views on the economic implications, and Andrew Grant gave a review of the tax issues within the budget.
Tax Partner at Shorts Andrew Grant said: “It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, which highlights the interest in the UK economy and the tax implications of the budget.
“We were delighted that Lee agreed to come along and give Chesterfield businesses the opportunity to benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience.”
More events are planned for later in the year with an emphasis on the Manufacturing and Engineering sectors.”
