CHESTERFIELD: Builders invited to new forum

Builders are invited to a construction forum.

Builders are invited to a construction forum.

CONSTRUCTION industry firms and workers are invited to the Chesterfield Construction Trades Network’s monthly meetings on the last Friday of every month.

Set up to provide an information, support and networking service to anyone involved in the construction industry in NE Derbyshire, the CCTN held its inaugural meeting on January 25 at Learning Unlimited’s offices and training facility at Markham Vale near Junction 29a on the M1.

Over 30 tradespeople gathered to hear Mike Hayden, Head of Regeneration, from Chesterfield Borough Council give an informative presentation on the exciting construction developments due to take place in and around Chesterfield over the next few years.

Mike’s presentation was swiftly followed by the main event, which was the opportunity for all present to informally network in a relaxed atmosphere.

Recently established as an informal non-membership based forum, the CCTN is facilitated by a number of local businesses and organisations including: Destination Chesterfield, Learning Unlimited (Chesterfield College), Peak FM, PK Group, Hammond & Co, SM4B, Heron

Publications and the Derbyshire Times and aims to bring together all local trades and suppliers to work as a town to generate more business for all.

The next meeting, to which all local trades and suppliers are welcome, is to be held at Chesterfield FC’s Proact Stadium, on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, on Friday February 22, between 3pm and 5pm. Entry is free and refreshments will be available to purchase. More information can be found by visiting www.Chesterfield CTN.co.uk and you can reserve your place by emailing: networking@chesterfieldctn.co.uk.
