Admiral Group has signed a three-and-a-half year preferred supplier agreement with Auto Windscreens that is set to create over 60 new jobs at the UK windscreen repair company.
Commencing from January 1, Auto Windscreens, which is based in Chesterfield, will handle 50per cent of the insurer’s motoring customers’ glass repair and replacement needs, upping previous work volumes by an estimated 45,000.
Nigel Davies, Managing Director at Auto Windscreens, said: “Admiral’s continued confidence in our high quality service delivery is undoubtedly the key to this prestigious win.
“They have had faith in our customer-focussed proposition right from the outset and we have forged a mutually beneficial relationship over the past two years.”
Admiral was the first major insurer to appoint Auto Windscreens after Trifords Limited took ownership of the automotive glazing firm in February 2011, attracted by its unique service management system and Total Customer Satisfaction ethos.
Mike King, Head of Claims Service at Admiral, said: “Auto Windscreens exceed the standards we demand on behalf of our customers and we are delighted to reaffirm our partnership with them as a preferred glass supplier for the foreseeable future. The company has shown a commitment to putting customers’ needs at the heart of operations and this is backed by a seamless solution and a skilled workforce.”
Auto Windscreens utilises a sophisticated customer management solution and a dedicated contact centre, supported by advanced PDA technology used by technicians out in the field.
Nigel added: “This renewed contract is down to everyone at Auto Windscreens playing their part. We have been recruiting in anticipation of this announcement, building our workforce further and training new technicians – ready for what we expect to be another fruitful year for the company.”
Between March and August 2013, Auto Windscreens hit its target to employ 100 new staff owing to rising repair workloads and has already embarked on a wide-scale recruitment drive to ensure consistent service levels are comfortably maintained.
It plans to appoint 50 technicians, who regardless of experience will undergo specialised Auto Windscreens’ training. Additional contact centre advisors positions are now also being advertised.
Auto Windscreens is owned by Trifords Limited, part of the Markerstudy Group.
