HALFORDS Autocentre has opened a new site in Chesterfield – creating new jobs in the town.

Chesterfield Mayor and Mayoress Keith and Pat Morgan and MP Toby Perkins cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the new firm, in the Belgrave Trade Park, on Walton Road.

Four jobs have been created by the new venture, while an apprentice will join the company soon.

In addition to the six-figure investment in acquiring, equipping and staffing the Autocentre, the company will spend an extra £15,000 per month with local suppliers, further boosting the region’s economy.

Manager Graham Wickman said: “Myself and my team are local lads and we are very proud to be serving our neighbours in the town.”
