Two brothers who began work on the same day at a Chesterfield paper mill have celebrated their quarter century with the business.
Andy Elwell, 46, and brother Alan, 44, were both taken on as ‘barrow lads’ transferring reels in the warehouse.
The Goytside Road mill was then owned by Robinsons but was acquired in 1999 by the leading hygiene and forest products company SCA.
Andy Said: “You’d never expect to go for a job and get asked to start that same day. We’ve made some good friends and still both enjoy working at the mill.”
SCA held a party for the brothers, together with colleague Linden Grist, pictured centre, who is also celebrating 25 years with the mill this year.
SCA’s tissues include Velvet, Cushelle and Plenty.
