AMBER VALLEY: Council serves up business opportunity

BUDDING retail entrepreneurs are being sought to run a refreshment kiosk in one of Amber Valley’s parks.

Amber Valley Borough Council wants someone to take on the Kiosk concession in Heanor Memorial Park. A suitable candidate will be someone with retail or catering experience and ideally some business knowledge.

The equipped Kiosk, located in the children’s play area, has been refurbished recently and offers a potential business opportunity for someone with attention to service, value and convenience.

Previous occupants ran a seasonal service selling a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks in this popular park.

Cllr Liz Bowley, Cabinet Member for Vibrant and Sustainable Places to Live, said: “The kiosk is an ideal opportunity for someone with the time, creativity, and enthusiasm to develop a successful and thriving small business.”

Heanor Memorial Park is a large recreational park covering 4.2 acres with landscape formal gardens, war memorial, bandstand and children’s play area in Heanor in Derbyshire. The park was recently refurbished as part of a £290,000 investment.

Anyone interested should contact Pam Leigh on 01773 841437 before 22 February 2013.
