BRIMINGTON: Women’s Club given talk on kidney dialysis

Opening the meeting of Brimington NAWC, chairperson, Christine Brown, welcomed back two members who had been recently ill, Mrs Jean Cowley and Mrs Wendy Simpson. She then introduced the guest speaker Margaret Rees, who gave members an insight to kidney dialysis and kidney replacement. Margaret joined members for refreshments served by Sheila Hoult and Margaret McDonald.

The raffle was won by Margaret Sutton.

Next week members were visiting Inkersall Womens Club and joining North Derbyshirte Association the following Friday at the Markham Hall and on March 28, a meal had been arranged by Mrs Ann Roddy at the White Hart at Calow.

After the Easter break the first meeting of the club is be the AGM on April 18, at 8pm, in the Heywood Street Community Centre. New members welcome.
