BRIMINGTON: Striding out for DT hospice appeal
NDET 12-3-13 RKH 9 Rob Parkin, Declan Naylor and Chris Howard set to run the Dronfield 10K.
A GROUP of engineers is set to give the Derbyshire Times’ £25,000 Ashgate Hospice Appeal a boost when they take on this year’s Dronfield 10k challenge.
Engineering training officer Rob Parkin, of Brimington-based NLT Training , and five of his apprentices will take on the annual run on Sunday to raise money for the hospice.
Rob, pictured left, with Techman Engineering trainees Chris Howard and Declan Naylor, said: “It’s great to get the apprentices on board to raise money for such a brilliant cause and it’s good to have the support of NLT who have funded everyone’s entry fees.”
The trio will be joined by apprentices Brett Rivett and Chris Ward from Foxwood Diesels and Nick Jones from Peak Tooling.
They will be raising their own sponsors but are also urging people to make donations in their honour via the justgiving website www.justgiving.com/DerbyshireTimes1.
