BRIMINGTON: Luncheon Club meetings resume

Chairwoman Christine Brown welcomed members of the Brimington Luncheon Club back to their weekly meal after such inclement bad weather.

The meal of stewing beef and potato pie with fresh vegetables, followed by rice pudding was cooked by Lindsay Waterfield and tea or coffee all served by volunteers Mrs Joan Hutchinson, Mrs Rose Kennell, Mrs Carol Hormell, Mrs Dorothy Riley, Mrs Sue Chambers, Mrs Denise Bennett, Mr Mike Burdett and caretaker Sam Weston.

Luncheon which costs £3, is served every Tuesday at 12 noon in Heywood Street Community Centre and all are welcome to come along for a tasty meal.

Afterwards there are two social clubs, the Evergreens and a waterclour painting class which all members are welcomed to join.
