The Peacock Inn Brampton, held its second Summer Beer Festival at the weekend. With ten speciality real ales served from the bar in the garden guests were able to try out the new decking terrace completed just a few weeks ago. Burgers were available from a barbecue. Children were able to play on the bouncy castle or in the playground.
Live music was enjoyed on Friday evening from Acorn Roots, a local band who play a wide range of music from across the years and a variety of genres.
On Saturday the evening entertainment was provided by The Coachmen and on Sunday afternoon by the Shambles duo.
During the weekend there was a tombola, raffle, cakes for sale and a fun challenge to balance a 20p on a floating lemon. To round off the weekend, a fun music quiz to test musical and general knowledge was organised for Sunday evening. All funds raised will be donated to the local collection for the family of Freya Bingham, the young girl in hospital in Newcastle awaiting a heart transplant.
