BRAMPTON: Kids have a whale of a time at Messy Church

‘Whale of a Tale’ was the theme for the latest Messy Church held at Storrs Road Methodist Church on Friday. Families were able to enjoy many different crafts and activities based on the story of Jonah in the Whale. Crafts included whale shaped biscuits to decorate, cress to grow in whale shaped pots, lollipop stick raft building challenge, glitter collage picture, bubble painting. ‘Flap the fish’ game and a whale to crawl into were both enjoyed by the children and adults.

The worship session was led by Mr Messy who told the story of Jonah with the help of older children Amy Checkley, Maddie Towle and Holly Twelves. Songs were accompanied by guitar. The afternoon ended with an indoor picnic in the church with everyone sitting on blankets. All the children left with the crafts they had made during the afternoon.

The next Messy Church will be on Friday, October 4. For further information email: storrsroad.messychurch@gmail.com
