Forty members and friends of The Gospel Mission Congregational Church on Old Road travelled to Scarborough for their annual coach outing to the seaside last Sunday. The day was blessed with wonderful weather following the previous night’s storms and Scarborough was looking at its best.
Activities ranged from traditional sandcastle building to a concert by Fanfare Brass in Peasholm Park. During the afternoon a golf putting competition was held, Winner in the Under 18 section was Miss Emily Mellor while Mr Michael Davison won the over 18 with a round of 31. A trophy and medals were presented during the return journey.
Thanks go to Mrs Vicky Townsend for organising the trip and to Hulley’s bus company and their driver, John, for a smooth journey.
