The Worship Group at Storrs Road Methodist Church organised a Worship on Weekdays on Friday evening. The theme of the evening was Going Round in Circles?, based on the London Underground Circle line which is celebrating 150 years of operation this year. Various stations on the Circle Line were represented in song, drama, prayer or meditative activity.
Albert Burton, the guest speaker, gave a short thought-provoking message about life being made of many circles.
The charity that was supported for the evening was Anthony Nolan Trust. A former member of the church has a grandson who is receiving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital (nearest Circle Line station is Farringdon) and has had a bone marrow transplant supported by the Trust.
The next WoW evening will be on Friday, October 11 during the Chatsworth Road Festival week.
