Book swap a success

OUR book swap is booming!

From chick-lit to classics, children’s books and local history we have got something for everyone.

Since our Reading Times campaign launched last month plenty of bookworms have been coming in to Derbyshire Times reception, in Station Road, to trade their titles.

Readers can call in, drop off a book and exchange it for another from a variety of publications for adults, teenagers and children.

Acting editor Phil Bramley said: “The benefits of reading are endless and it’s great news that our book swap has been a success so far.

“We hope more people will take the opportunity to try out new books for free.”

Through our book swap and reading drive we hope to involve literature groups and schools and encourage youngsters to do book reviews for us – or send in their own short stories which may be published on our website: www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk.
