Blues U11s eye cup glory

Pictured are a Chesterfield Junior Blues' U11s football team.

They have reached their first ever cup final in which they play Darley Dale Eagles at Matlock Town’s stadium at the Autoworld Arena, on Monday. May 5, in the Rowsley League U11s Primary Cup.

As of April 16, the team also boasted that it had only lost only two league matches in the last 18 months.

A club spokesman said: “This is a remarkable level of consistency for such a young team.”

The players are pictured at their home ground, at Chesterfield Panthers Rugby Club, and are kindly sponsored by local artist Caroline Appleyard of Appleyard Arts.
