Bikers turn out in force to honour life of '˜amazing' Chesterfield bike-enthusiast who died from cancer

Dozens of bikers turned out to follow the funeral procession of a Chesterfield woman whose dying wish to ride a motorbike for the last time before she passed away from cancer.

The family of Cheryl Manley, who died in early December, reached out to bikers in the town in order to give the ‘amazing’ 53-year-old a send-off she would have loved.

The biker community were only too keen to celebrate her life, with riders of all ages escorting Cheryl’s hearse to Brimington Crematorium on Monday.

Cheryl, a former care assistant and traffic warden who ‘had many friends’ in Chesterfield thanks to her caring and charitable nature, was diagnosed with cancer in November.

A dedicated biker, one of the goals on a bucket list Cheryl created included riding a motorbike for the last time.

But the ‘inspiration to many’ declined rapidly and never got the chance to fulfil her wish.

Cheryl leaves behind her mum Sandra, along with children Daniel and Louise.
