CHESTERFIELD FC fans based in Belgium are planning to cycle to the Spireites’ last home match of the season with a sponsored charity ride to support the DT’s Ashgate Hospice £25,000 Appeal.

Five Belgian Spireites are determined to use pedal power to get to the home match against Exeter City on Saturday, April 27.

Organiser Jonathan Dellicour said: “I’m part of a group of friends, based near Brussels, who adopted the Spireites as our team. The passion and the commitment of the fans is first class and we felt we’d like to match that commitment.”

Belgian Spireite Jules Monnier said: “We are determined to make the effort worthwhile by raising as much money as possible for Ashgate Hospice and it would be great if the Chesterfield fans could back us to reach our, ambitious, target of £1866.”

The famous five also include Sylvain Lecomte, Ben Helson and Pierre Fagnart.
