BARROW HILL: Parish church hosts exhibition on Staveley Coal and Iron Company

St Andrew’s Parish Church at Barrow Hill will once again be hosting their popular, annual, local history exhibition from Thursday, September 12 to Saturday 14.

The theme of this year’s exhibition is the 150th anniversary of the Staveley Coal and Iron Company and will feature displays, photographs and other local memorabilia.

The church will be open from 10am to 4pm on each of the three days and visitors will also be very welcome to look around the building which is unique in that it was the first ever building by renowned town planners Sir Raymond Unwin and Barry Parker.
