Due to popular demand, Barlborough Heritage Centre’s January exhibition, ‘Once Upon a Time on Barbers Row’ will be extended until the end of February.
The free exhibition consists of a collection of photographs covering life on the Row which as built in 1863 and demolished in 1970.
Not only does the centre have its book ‘Welcome to Barbers Row - Come inside and I’ll tell you a Story’ available for purchase, it also has produced two DVDs - A Collection of Barbers Row photographs from its archives plus a second edition DVD with additional photographs including a recording of local well known singer Billy Lodge, singing in Renishaw church in his later years. The centre’s opening times are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30am till 2pm; Saturdays, 9am till 1pm. There is full disabled access and free parking. Light refreshments available on request.
