Youngsters from a preparatory school have been chosen to play rugby at a regional level.

George Penrose, Archie Pearson and William Dobson from S Anselms School, in Bakewell, have been chosen to play for West Midlands Lambs Squad.

The boys, who play for the school’s under 11s team, travelled to Malvern College earlier this month for a selection day where they were picked to play for the regional team.

Peter Phillips, head teacher, said: “We are all very proud of these boys and the dedication they have both for their rugby and their wider school life. We shall all be cheering them on when they play on November 2.”
