On Sunday May 5, 1,200 little ducks were dropped in the river Wye from Bakewell Bridge. It took a long time for all the ducks to reach the finish at the iron bridge because the river was so very low.

The first duck home was No. 662, 2nd 908 and the 3rd 1,157. The last duck home was No. 1 which was sold to a lady from America.

The Rotary Club of Bakewell would like to thank all those who helped to make the race a success,

The whole event has raised £2,000 for local charities.
