All Saints Messy Church had a banquet on September 1. To prepare for it everyone made invitations, iced cakes, tested party poppers and lots of other banquet activities. Jesus’ story about an invitation to his banquet provided the focus for the worship.
Messy Church is a relaxed and lively approach for all the family. The church meets on the first Sunday of the month at All Saints parish Church.
There are lots of fun activities followed by a short time of worship, after which all participants have breakfast together. This usually includes bacon butties, yoghurt and pancakes.
Messy Church is a really good way for adults and children to worship together. All ages are welcome though organisers request that children come with an adult.
