Bakery workers’ ballot result

Reports have come through that workers at one of the region’s biggest employers have overwhelmingly voted for strike action.

Gunstone’s Bakery in Dronfield, which employs around 1,100 people, is looking to alter terms and conditions over wages.

A ballot among the 800 members of the BFAWU union today (Friday, March 2) showed 95 percent in favour of strike action.
