Auto Windscreens lands contract with rental giant Sixt

AUTO Windscreens has been chosen as a main supplier of automotive glass by Sixt rent a car in the UK.

Both companies have headquarters in Chesterfield and have recently opened new sites around the country to satisfy growing demand for their services.

Sixt rent-a-car is part of a German-owned global business with 3,500 sites worldwide. It has 133 branches in the UK providing rental cars and vans in all major cities.

Using its 27 fitting centres around the country and its 190 mobile technicians, Auto Windscreens will undertake 50per cent of all glass repairs and replacements on Sixt vehicles either on-site or on the road for hire customers.

Jason Stredwick, director of fleet at Sixt, said: “We chose Auto Windscreens because it demonstrated a commitment to deliver the high level of service Sixt and our customers expect – and all at a very competitive cost.”

Joy Cooper, sales director at Auto Windscreens, said: “We’re keen to show what we can do and we’re very proud to have won such a prestigious client as Sixt. Working with the company makes perfect sense as we’re both experiencing increased business from certain locations and it’s convenient for our management teams to meet since we both have our headquarters in Chesterfield.”

Auto Windscreens has grown significantly in the last year, and has recently opened new fitting centres in the South East, Wales and the East Midlands.
