A BUDDING super model from Chesterfield is appealing for local support after she has entered an internet beauty contest.

Jodie Lane, 16, of Brookfield School, Chesterfield, is hoping to be crowned Miss Teen Queen UK 2013 and supporters can vote for her before September 15 by visiting www.missteenqueenuk.com and Jodie can be found among the 2013 Heat Two entrants.

She said: “I entered the competition and was short-listed to have my photos taken and then the pictures have gone on to the website for the competition. I’m trying to get as much local support as possible so I can try and win this competition for Chesterfield.”

The youngster who is studying her A/S Levels in Sociology, Psychology and English Literature is on the books of the London School of Modelling and is considering getting a job with one of the Emergency Services when she finishes her studies. If she wins Miss Teen Queen UK she will receive £10,000 worth of prizes and help build a school in a poverty-stricken area of Africa.
