The DERBYSHIRE Times’ 100 in 100 campaign to get organisations to pledge 100 apprenticeship placements in 100 days has so far clinched 47 pledges.

Companies and organisations have been inspired by the campaign’s partners Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, the National Apprenticeship Service and Destination Chesterfield’s appeal to create jobs and training opportunities.

The campaign was launched in March and has been followed by published stories of outstanding pledges and it will run until the beginning of July with more media coverage.

Others interested in finding out how their companies or organisations can benefit from apprenticeship schemes and how they can make pledges are urged to call DNCC’s Jon Smart on (01246) 207207.
