Appeal after teenager hurt in Whaley Bridge crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a moped in Whaley Bridge.

At around 4.40pm yesterday (Monday) a silver Peugeot 307 and a red moped were involved in a serious road traffic collision at the junctions of Chapel Road, Eccles Road and Elnor Lane.

The rider of the moped, a 16-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
