Appeal after teen is robbed in Chesterfield

DETECTIVES in Chesterfield are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted and had his wallet stolen.

At around 6.15pm on Monday, January 23 a 17-year-old boy was walking along a footpath at the end of Infirmary Road after leaving Chesterfield College when he was approached by two youths.

They asked to borrow to victim’s phone and when he refused one of the pair head butted him and he fell to the floor.

One of the attackers then pinned the victim down while the other grabbed his wallet from his coat pocket. The pair then ran off in the direction of the college.

The attackers are described as white and in their late teens. One was wearing all black clothing and a black baseball cap and had a spotty complexion. The other wore a dark hooded top with yellow lining.
