POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault where a boy suffered a fractured leg.

The incident took place on Monday, March 12 between 1pm and 1.30pm on Boythorpe Road, behind Queens Park, Chesterfield.

A 15-year-old boy was approached by a group of youths and knocked to the ground where he was then kicked and punched. He suffered a complicated fracture to his leg and was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
