Anti-social behaviour scared off in New Mills

Residents received no extra spooks this Halloween as anti-social behaviour was scared off across New Mills and Hayfield.

Halloween is normally a busy evening for Safer Neighbourhood officers but the evening passed without any calls for service for anti-social behaviour in the area.

The Multi Agency Team (MAT) arranged a special Halloween trip which saw 90 youngsters from New Mills, Hayfield, Whaley Bridge and Chapel heading to Alton Towers Scarefest as part of a diversionary activity.

The teenagers were accompanied by youth workers and family resource workers on the trip which was part funded by Derbyshire police and MAT.
